The Destrehan Lady Wildcats dominated East St. John 21-0 on Thursday, but fell to H.L. Bourgeois on Friday, which kept the Lady Wildcats in second place in district play with an 11-2 record.

The Hahnville Tigers lost another one-run heartbreaker to rival Destrehan on Saturday, but they were able to cruise past Thibodaux and knock off Terrebonne to secure second place in District 7-5A with an 8-2 record.

The Hahnville Lady Tigers crushed both South Lafourche and Thibodaux during the week to secure the District 7-5A title with a perfect 13-0 record.

Since opening district play with a loss to Terrebonne, the Destrehan Wildcats (14-10) have reeled off five straight wins to take a share of first place in District 7-5A.
In the last week, the Wildcats cemented their position at the top of the standings by scoring 24 runs in victories over South Lafourche and H.L. Bourgeois.

The Hahnville Lady Tigers (18-4) remained undefeated in district play by blowing past East St. John, 23-1, for their tenth league win. Hahnville also picked up a big out-of-district win over Dominican on Friday before falling to Mt. Carmel, 4-1, on Saturday.
